The Hayesbrook School

A Brook Learning Trust Academy

Students

As a student at The Hayesbrook School you will know that you are on course to the career or university of your choice. This means that every day is important. Our achievement does not just happen at the end of each term; it is the result of the progress we make every hour, every day.

Being a student at The Hayesbrook School brings with it both responsibilities and expectations. As ambassadors for the academy, students are expected to demonstrate the qualities and characteristics of our PRIDE values in all they say and do.

Your teachers set out to do the absolute very best for you. Making sure we teach brilliant lessons based on your needs is so important to us. We will always want to hear how we can do an even better job for you.

Being a small school means that you are known for your unique individual abilities, interests and achievements. Your form tutor, student manager and your head of year are the people who will work closest with you, outside of the classroom and are the people you should contact first if there is anything you need from us. We know you will learn and achieve best when you are confident, happy and safe and so we want you to feel well looked after.

You have the opportunity to participate in the life of the academy every day by doing your best and by making the most of the opportunities that we offer in lessons but also through trips, visits and clubs and activities before and after the school day. You can choose to represent the academy in numerous competitive and leadership roles. Our student prefect team and student council work hard to act as role models to others and ensure that the views of the student body are appropriately listened to and represented. The wider student council provides a forum for all students to have their say about key developments across the academy and help shape our future.
