The Hayesbrook School

A Brook Learning Trust Academy

Parents

Working together to ensure brilliant opportunity and outcomes for our students is incredibly important to us and is a huge part of their success. This partnership relies on good communication and also on families knowing how best to work with the academy. By working together we will provide the necessary support and challenge to help your child navigate their way through their secondary education and prepare them for the pathway to the career or university of their choice.

Here you will find all the information you need to understand the day to day systems and processes of our academy. If there is information which you need but cannot find please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone or through the enquiries page of this website.

In addition to the information here we hold curriculum information evenings at the start of each academic year for each year group. These evenings detail the curriculum for that year of study, how and when progress will be assessed and how best to support your child outside of lessons. You will receive regular information about your child’s progress and to complement this we invite families to two consultation evenings a year where you can meet each of their teachers and discuss their learning.

Your child’s form tutor or Head of Year should always be the first point of contact as they will be able to best deal with anything you may want to discuss. In addition parents are also able to contact the Academy Council Parent Advocate to discuss their views and ideas – further details about this role and how to contact the advocate are available on our governance pages.
