The Hayesbrook School

Year 7 Transition

Welcome to The Hayesbrook School

We are excited and look forward to welcoming our new students and families who will be joining The Hayebrook School Year 7 in September 2020.   We understand how important the transition process is for all children and their families when moving into a new education phase and starting at a new school.

Given the current situation, we are constantly reviewing our induction processes to ensure we make the move to The Hayesbrook School as positive as it can be.  Please be assured we are liaising with your son's primary school to ensure we are better placed to support your child to make confident adjustments to their new school.

Preparing for successful transitions

Moving from primary school to secondary school is an exciting time of life, but it can also be a daunting prospect.  It’s important to highlight moving to a new school offers greater independence, and a world of opportunity.

For our new students and their families we have created a ‘Year 7 Transition Programme’ to help prepare for the first day and the years to follow.  Equipped with knowledge and questions answered we hope it will help to build confidence making the transition smoother and easier.

We hope you find the programme a useful and supportive resource that will help to facilitate a successful transition.

We want to hear from you...

If you have any questions about joining, please do not hesitate to contact the school.  Similarly, if there are any significant circumstances that you think may affect your child's schooling, please get in touch to discuss the situation in confidence.

We will continue to keep you updated and very much look forward to meeting you and your child as soon as it is safe to do so.
