Meet key staff and the Year 7 team
Mr Upton - Director of KS3
Hello and welcome to the class of 2021. We cannot wait to welcome you to our community in September. I am fully aware that the last two years of your school career has been extremely tricky, That’s why it’s really important that all of us here at The Hayesbrook School make you feel welcome from day one. I have been at The Hayesbrook School over 8 years now and I have loved every minute, especially seeing all our students successes. You probably would of seen some of our ‘Who Sat in your seat’ videos we have sent out to you and posted on various social media sites. I'm hoping in seven years time I will be chasing you to send me a video. Have a fantastic summer and we all look forward to welcoming you to our community in September.
Mr Roberts - Head of Years 7
Hello Year 7, I am Mr Roberts and I am your new head of year for your time here at Hayesbrook school. I am really looking forward to welcoming you to the school in September and cannot wait to get to know you all better. I have been at The Hayesbrook school for 4 years now and love the school and the fantastic boys we have here. I am a Design and Technology teacher so will be seeing you in lessons as well as looking after the year group day to day. I look forward to seeing all the amazing things you will do and to celebrating all of your successes in the future.
Mrs Concannon – Student Manager
I am Mrs Concannon and I am the Student Manager for Years 7, 8 and 9. I have worked at The Hayesbrook School since 2012. I do not teach but instead spend my time making sure everyone is working hard and feeling safe and happy in school. It is natural to have things you are unsure about when starting at a new school. If you have any questions or concerns, I am always around and will help in whatever way I can. Talking things through is usually a very good way to start. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your families in September.
Ms Ansell – Assistant Principal and SENCO
Hello, I am Ms Ansell, Assistant Principal and SENCO. My office is in the Student Services building. Anyone is welcome in Student Services and some of you may be part of some small group work that takes place in one of the small classrooms. We have a team of Learning Mentors (called TA’s in Primary School ) who you may see in some of your lessons. They are Mrs Finch, Mrs Luff, Mr Tapsfield and Mrs Gurr. I’m not always in my office; I teach English too so obviously love reading. I look forward to meeting you and hearing what you like to read!
Mr Leach - Attendance and Inclusion Officer
Hello, my name is Mr Leach. I am the Attendance and Inclusion Officer. Being in school promptly each day will give you the best opportunity to reach your potential. My main role is to ensure that every child has access to school and provide a range of support to students and their families to make sure this happens.
You will see me each morning and around the school site. Please do speak to me if you have any concerns during your time here at The Hayesbrook School.
