Students Praise 'Unforgettable' Paris Trip

Students in Years 9-11 experienced an unforgettable weekend in Paris, including visiting the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and Disneyland.

Waking up at 5:00 am was a difficult task for most, but it was worth it. From great views to once in a lifetime experiences, the trip was one to remember. To begin on Friday 4 May we voyaged from Dover to Calais on a high class Ferry and then travelled by coach to our destination, Château de Grande Romaine, to settle down and relax.

On our second day, thanks to our driver Kevin, we visited the famous Eiffel Tower that’s over 100 years old and offers mesmerising views. To top the day off we also adventured through the River Seine and grabbed a quick drink and ice cream in Montmartre.

On Sunday 6 May, after having cereal and a variety of pastries for breakfast, we set our sights for Disneyland Paris. Without doubt this was an extraordinary day, with rides like “Hyperspace Mountain” and “Tower of Terror” at the top of the list. Also we got to see the amazing Disney parade and characters. Finally we enjoyed a quick swim in the crystal clear pool and played a game of football in the field.

With all the good things coming to an end, I think that everyone enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone else. Thank you to Mrs Brindley for organising the trip with the help of Mr Watson-Reynolds, Miss Chandler and Mrs Brooks, and to PGL for having us!
