Hayesbrook students celebrate 100% attendance

We invited 62 of our students to afternoon tea to celebrate the fact that they had achieved 100% attendance since September 2014.

Staff baked cakes to send a personal ‘well done’ message and the students were joined by senior staff to celebrate. Two students in particular received extra vigorous handshakes from Mr Day after it was revealed that Year 10 student Michael Rogers and Year 8 student Andrew Wilson had never had a day off from Hayesbrook! A fantastic achievement that certainly highlights their commitment to education.

Principal David Day remarked: "Boys with 100% attendance deserve special recognition. A student who attends every day is most likely to never have a day off work when they are older. We all know how the economy suffers from people taking sick days and our boys with 100% attendance will receive glowing references when they apply to University or for jobs."
