Football Report: Year 10 vs. Trinity School

The Year 10s started the new season with a home match against Trinity School.

The team started with a 4-4-1-1, Nat in goal, Jack , Sam, Joe and Billy as the back 4, Cameron , Ben , Tom and Harvey held the midfield, Zach was the centre forward and Roman led the line up top. On the bench was Ben and Slavi. Harvey captained the side.

The game started well with Hayesbrook playing the ball around freely and then Harvey bagged himself a goal with a quality finish in the bottom corner leaving the keeper stranded. A couple of minutes past, Hayesbrook was dominating in possession and had many chances especially out wide with Ben and Tom. Then Roman got played a great through ball and clinically finished it in the bottom corner. The third goal was created and scored by Jack, a bullet header from a corner whipped in by Zach. Roman then bagged a 2nd for himself and a 4th for the team making it Hayesbrook 4-0 Trinity. The fifth came from Tom, who scored a great goal and finishing the game was Zach, who had a one-on-one with the keeper but confidently scored.

The overall team performance was brilliant, our goalkeeper made some crucial saves, the back line was solid and not letting much through, the midfield held their shape and created chances and the strikers were clinical on the day. Special thanks to Mr Gore for organising and managing the side so well, and for refereeing.
