Sports Report: Tennis - Years 7/8 vs. Skinners School

The U13 tennis team took on Skinners School on a chilly Wednesday evening this week, the final score being 10 - 2 in Skinners' favour.

Dewi and Joe played their doubles match, whilst Felix and Oscar played their singles to begin with.

Dewi and Joe battled well in their doubles but lost 6-2. Felix and Oscar unfortunately lost their singles against tough opposition 6-0. Don’t forget that Oscar and Felix are playing a year up this year. They also lost their doubles match, but this was a closer match than their singles.

Joe battled well and played some very good tennis, but eventually lost his singles 6-3. The match of the tie was the top seeds, Dewi and Peter from Skinners. An excellent tennis match saw the 2 players battle out to a tiebreak 6-6. The tight match continued into the tie break, with Dewi showing excellent grit and determination to come through and win 7-5. It was a mini epic!

The U15s are playing on 13th June and the U13s continue with their matches next week, away to Cranbrook. Well done to the boys!
