The Hayesbrook School Sports Awards Evening 2015

We were proud to celebrate our sporting superstars on Thursday evening with a record turnout of parents, staff and students.

Sam Crick was deservedly awarded Overall Sportsman of the Year for outstanding contributions to many school teams, and individual excellence at Athletics:  16:50m for the 5K run, 4:30m for the mile and winner of the City of London Mile 2015.

Principal David Day said “I was great to see happy students and parents.  Sam Crick was the outstanding 2015 sportsman because of his fantastic attitude, all round athleticism and his consistent fast paced running”.

Many students achieved awards for Team and individual sporting excellence.
One of our most distinguished awards, Sports Leader of the year, was won by Matthew Baker from of field of 30 outstanding leaders from across the school.  These pupils are regularly invited into primary schools to help run their sports events, and are working hard to achieve their prestigious Leadership awards.
