Hayesbrook Hit the Slopes for Ski Trip 2018
The annual Hayesbrook Easter-holiday ski trip was held in Courmayeur, Italy, offering our students an exciting week of skiing and snowboarding.
The trip allowed us six days of skiing and snowboarding in the mountains of Italy, and the chance to learn new techniques such as carving and short radius turns.
The resort had a number of training areas which allowed students on the first day to master the basics. The students very quickly progressed onto the blue and challenging red runs. Our advanced skiing group managed a rather challenging black mogul run with only a handful of falls!
The snow conditions were superb and there was opportunities for skiers and boarders to go off the side of the piste into nice powder snow.
We did a number of fun evening activities after skiing that included swimming, pizza night, ice cream night and crepes. The hotel had three table tennis tables and football tables and a number of evenings ended in the boys playing against each other in a mini table tennis tournament.
Sam Warner, one of the students on the trip, commented: "This has been my fourth ski trip and this has by far been one of the best, from the great weather to the excellent staff led by Mr Waight who made it possible. I can't wait to go again next year!"
