The Sport Relief 'Non-Stop Rowing' Challenge

Before the Easter break, the PE team, ably assisted by the Year 13 BTEC Sport students, ran a ‘non-stop rowing’ challenge in aid of Sport Relief.

Every student in Years 8 and 9 completed at least 500m on the rowing machine, with some completing much more than this. The Brownlee brothers would have been impressed with our transitions!

The boys managed to achieve an excellent distance in the time allocated, and with the PE team and Sixth Formers putting in a fast ten minute shift at the end, we collectively managed to accumulate a total distance of 69 miles within 1 hour 45 minutes – which would be the equivalent of Tonbridge to Calais!
