Pie and Pasty Perfection at our Latest Family Learning Event
On the evening of Tuesday 6 December, the Food Tech department hosted a Pie & Pasty Family Learning Event.
As usual the standard was very high and some scrumptious pies were made: Adam Jackson produced a Christmas pie decorated with Christmas trees; Ryan Cottee pulled out all the stops with his very festive Christmas tree shaped pie; Charlie Cuffey made some of the best pastry Mr Upton and Mrs Higgins had sampled, serving his pasty with a traditional filling; William Hanes created a sweet and savoury delight that was full of flavour.
Andrew Wilson (pictured at the top of the page) cooked an exquisite chorizo pie which was accompanied by an apple pudding pasty for dessert. Andrew’s presentation and range of ingredients enabled him to win the Family Learning Event.
Well done to all the students and their families for their excellent results.
