This month is Non-Fiction November, a celebration of fantastic fact-filled books. There is a different theme each year, with this year’s being Heroes, so below are a few suggestions for some books available in the library written by inspirational people.
Thanks to Penguin’s Lit in Colour programme, we now have copies of Michelle and Barack Obama’s autobiographies, as well as the Young reader’s adaptation of Michelle Obama’s book. Both of these are fantastic and give lots of insight about their lives before they became known worldwide.
This tiny book is a collection of speeches by Greta Thunberg all about the climate crisis.
In this memoir, Chris Hadfield tells the story of how he became an astronaut, including the many tests and examinations he had to go through and what it is like being in space.
In I Am Malala, Malala writes about the assassination attempt that nearly took her life as well as growing up during the rise of the Taliban in Pakistan.
We would love to hear if you have read any of the books above and what you thought of them.
As always, thanks for reading!
