If your son already has lessons on an instrument or alternatively is keen to start learning an instrument, we currently work with Kent Music to ensure that options are available.  If you are interested and would like further information, please refer to their website at www.kentmusic.com

Gifted & Talented

We have a cohort of boys throughout the school, who have been identified as gifted & talented musicians. Our aim this year is for these pupils to work together in small groups, enabling them to learn from each other and develop their own skills, as well as learning how to encourage and guide other aspiring musicians.

Community Links

Over the past four years we have been successful in establishing close musical links with The Judd School, who have Specialist Music Status. Our pupils have had opportunities to participate in:
  • Twilight Keyboard Lessons
  • 3 day Composing Workshops
  • Jazz/Wind Band Performances
Our current year 8 and year 9 pupils have enjoyed performances given by their Samba Band and Wind Band and our key stage four music students have regularly benefited from specialist support and tuition in Music Technology.
