Sports report: Cricket - Year 7 vs. Mascalls

On 18th May, the Year 7 cricket team played away at Mascalls School, in an exciting game of cricket that finished in a 59-52 win for Hayesbrook.

When we arrived, we lost the coin toss and Mascalls chose to field first, leaving us to bat.  First up was F.Collins.  He stayed in for as long as the rules allowed him to, gaining Hayesbrook 15 runs before handing the bat to the next person.  We built up such a high lead that in the end Mascalls just couldn’t catch us.

Our star bowlers were C.Cuffy, T.Harwood and P.Mohammad.  P.Mohammad got 4 people out with his quality bowling and in one of the last remaining overs, C.Cuffy bowled out two people which won us the whole match.

Overall, it was a great win and a big well done to the Hayesbrook Year 7 cricket team.
