Sports report: Rugby - Year 7 vs. Hugh Christie

On Tuesday 14th March, the Year 7 rugby team faced their biggest rivals yet - fellow Tonbridge school Hugh Christie Technology College.

We knew that it would be a hard game, but we got off to a great start with Roman scoring a try in the first 5 minutes with the conversation added by Fin Collins. Already we were off to a great start and things went even better when Ben Higgins scored an amazing try pushing people out of his way as he ran. Fin Collins converted again. Now the floodgates opened. Isaac Judd scored in the corner, but because of the angle Fin failed to convert it. But after Fin missed the conversation he came up with a try and converted it.

After half time, we came rushing out with another try with Owen scoring a try in the corner and Fin converting it. Ben Higgins and Roman scored a try each, but only one of these was converted. Hugh Christie almost scored at the end, but failed to ground the ball thanks to great defending by Ben S. The final score was Hayesbrook 45, Hugh Christie 0.
