The Hayesbrook School

A Tribute to Mr Stephen Adams

Mr Stephen Adams

27 January 1981 - 13 December 2015

The school has set up a memorial fund for Mr Stephen Adams - staff/parents/students can donate via Schoolgateway by clicking here or donations can be made via cash or cheque (payable to Hayesbrook School) with ‘Stephen Adams Memorial Fund’ noted on the reverse.

Sadly, our ICT and Computing teacher, Mr Stephen Adams, lost his life in a tragic accident on Sunday 13 December.  Our thoughts, prayers and support are with Stephen’s family.  One of Stephen’s two sons, Luke, is a pupil in Year 9 at Hayesbrook.

Stephen was a dedicated teacher and a fantastic professional who was hugely respected and loved.  He cared deeply about the students and his love of sport made him a popular figure at Hayesbrook.

Principal David Day paid tribute: "The measure of the degree of respect for Mr Adams is evident by the number of wonderful tributes pouring into the school from parents, students and colleagues."

"Mr Adams was a fine person and a very caring teacher. We will treasure his memory."

He will be greatly missed.

Charlton Athletic are wearing black arm bands in their game this evening as a mark of respect for his coaching and contribution to youth development. See Charlton Athletic Football Club link here: http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/charlton-athletic-club-statement-steve-adams-2852760.aspx

A book of condolence for students, ex-students and colleagues will be available in reception at school for anyone who wishes to leave a message.  If you are unable to come in to school, please send in your message in writing or by e-mail via the enquiry page - please select "Reception (for general enquiries)".
