Illya Freeman, a 14 year old  student of The Hayesbrook School, has landed a hat trick of gold medals in the 11-16 age category of the Federation of International Gymnastics Men's Pairs category at the Breda Open Acrobatic Cup in the Netherlands on Saturday 28th November 2015. He performed a balance and dynamic routine with his fellow gymnastic partner Sammi.

Illya was delighted to receive the highest scores in his category for balance, tempo and dynamic, as well as the highest overall score. He remarked "I did not expect to receive one gold medal never mind three. It took a 5 hour return coach trip to wipe the smile off my face!"

Illya is pictured above shaking hands on receipt of his gold medal.

The Hayesbrook school Principal, David Day, added "Illya goes from strength to strength with his gymnastics and this triple gold medal is just reward for his hours of dedicated training. We are very proud of him."
