Pizza Picnic for Students Celebrating 100% Attendance

87 Hayesbrook students have been rewarded for achieving 100% attendance throughout this academic year.

There has been a lot in the press recently about not celebrating 100% attendance and that everyone should aim for that benchmark as a basic expectation. At Hayesbrook, we strongly believe that attendance of pupils is important and we are delighted that our attendance improvements have been recognised as above the national average. We were even more delighted that the number of students eligible for 100% attendance rewards has increased from 80 students last year to 87 students this academic year.

The students were given an early lunch and staff provided pizza, nibbles and cake (home baked by staff) which were thoroughly enjoyed by all of the students. The pupils were also given a ‘Pride in our Attendance’ card which enables them to extra priviledges for the next academic year.

Our thanks to Mrs Gresham, Attendance Officer, for organising the event and also to the staff who gave up their time to provide the students with the picnic.
