Sports report: Tennis - Years 8-10 vs. Skinners School

In very blustery weather conditions, both the under-13s and under-15s groups took on The Skinners School in the final tennis fixture of the year.

All results are listed below. Well done to David Crouch and James Curry, who yet again played a year up against some big serving Year 10s! A special mention to Jamie Tutt and Ben Hermitage who won their doubles match comfortably 6-3. It was an excellent match with some great doubles played.

Ben also went onto win his singles match - a thrilling contest that went both ways. Ben was 5-3 up, then was 6-5 and then 40-0 down. He showed great character to come back and eventually win a tiebreak 7-6. Ben’s unorthodox technique has seen him through some excellent wins this summer!

Year 9 (U13s):

  • Ollie Smith and Tom Noble lost 6-4
  • Ben Hermitage and Jamie Tutt won 6-3
  • Ollie Smith lost 6-4
  • Tom Noble lost 6-0

Well done to the boys for their efforts this season. Tennis Club still continues on Thursdays and many of the boys will be looking forward to the tennis trip in a few weeks time.
