The Hayesbrook School

Sports Report: Football - Year 7 vs. Charles Darwin

The Year 7s continued their debut season with another tough game, away to Charles Darwin School on Wednesday 18 October.

After some disappointing performances, the team were determined to put in 100% effort. In a much better display, Hayesbrook eventually lost this game 4-0. However the boys can be very proud of their efforts in the game. 2 sloppy goals were conceded in the first half, one from a corner and the other, from a long ball. Other than that, Hayesbrook defended much better in the first half and showed better discipline and organisation. In the second half we conceded from another corner and then a stunning goal that could not be saved. As the game went on, Jack started to control the midfield, with Mason and Luke doing well at the back. Hayesbrook never really created any clear cut chances to score, but Bradley ran his socks off up front for the team and showed some quality touches to bring other players into play.

The boys have a 2 week break over half term, but get straight back into it with a home fixture against Skinners Academy in the first week back.
