Sports Report: Football - Year 9 vs. Charles Darwin

On Wednesday 11 October, the Year 9 football team took on Charles Darwin School in the league. They succeeded comfortably and won 8-0.

The boys played extremely well especially considering they were missing two strong members of the team. A hat trick from Roman Brophy helped secure the win. Also a great defence consisting of Joe Rowe, Sam Rugg, Jack Stone and Billy Aldred and a superb goalkeeper Nat Gibb helped keep another clean sheet this season. The two midfielders, Harvey Tongue and Zach Collier, controlled the game with excellent passing and great defensive techniques. On the wing was Tom Powell and Ben Hermitage who never looked like they would lose the ball as they passed and dribbled around everyone. Billy Aldred also had a wonderful game playing at Left Back instead of his usual position of goalkeeper. Ben Greenstock, Cameron Elliott and Jacob Makin have helped the team massively from when they joined at the start of this season.

The team are still unbeaten this season and we hope that will continue!

Well Done Boys!
