Sports Report: Football - Year 7 vs. St Simon Stock

The Year 7 footballers suffered a heavy defeat on the afternoon of Tuesday 3 October, losing 8-0 to St Simon Stock in the Kent cup.

The match started off brightly, with Hayesbrook putting pressure on St Simon’s back line. However, St Simons had players who play at professional clubs and their class shone through eventually. They scored some excellent goals.

It must be said that Bradley pulled off some fantastic saves in goal throughout the match. A lot of credit must also go to our defensive players; Aston and Mason with some crucial interceptions and tackles to keep the St Simon’s attacks at bay. The boys will look to bounce back next week when they return to league action against local rivals Hugh Christie.
