Table Tennis Players Tackle Kent Team Tournament

Last week, 12 Hayesbrook students travelled to Medway Park to take part in the Kent Schools Team Table Tennis Tournament.

We took two teams of under 16’s and one team of under 13’s. All of the boys were really excited for the day ahead. We arrived at Medway Park and entered a giant sports hall with 24 table tennis tables set up, it looked very professional. All of the players played 2-6 games each and the boys played really well throughout the tournament, coming against some very strong teams and even playing against some of the best players in the country.

During the tournament the boys all took turns in officiating different games, even when Hayesbrook were not playing. They were praised by other members of staff there for doing this. Overall the boys had a great time and played some very good table tennis and also officiated the games very well throughout the tournament.
