About the Hayesbrook School

Welcome to The Hayesbrook School!

We are an outstanding 11-18 boys’ (mixed sixth form) Foundation School, Specialist Sports College, High Performing Specialist School, Applied Learning College and Training School, situated at the south end of Tonbridge.  We are a genuinely wide ability school and serve the communities of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas.  Hayesbrook is the host school for the very successful School Sports Partnership.  Our specialisms have also been instrumental in the school’s continued drive to raise standards across the curriculum.  Indeed, the GCSE and Post 16 results are excellent, an achievement the school is very proud of!  Hayesbrook is also part of the West Kent Learning Federation, a collaborative of 17 secondary schools and West Kent College.

The school has over 930 students on roll and is highly popular owing to its specialist status, emphasis on learning and teaching, examination success and high standards of discipline.  Hayesbrook is also renowned for its success in extra-curricular activities and for its support of other schools, both locally and nationally.

Hayesbrook is affiliated to the Youth Sports Trust and the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and is also very proud to have obtained an impressive number of quality marks.  These include International Schools Award, Investor in People, ArtsMark, SportsMark Gold, the Basic Skills Award, Healthy Schools Award, Kent Heartbeat Award and the Clean Food Award.  The school also holds the Kent 16+ Kitemark for its Sixth Form provision.

In 2008 the school was judged to be ‘outstanding’, for a second time, by OfSTED.
